North Royalton High School Reviews

I have had a great experience with the North Royalton high school. My daughter just recently graduated and finds that some of her college classes are actually easier than that of high school. Great faculty! We do need an updated building, though.

I think that north royalton high is a terrible school. It is very overcrowded and there is no level of security, not even any student hall monitors. It disturbs me that anyone could just walk right in. Another aspect of this school that bothers me is the student vocational prep program that they run. In eigth grade before entering high school, teachers and counelors single out low income students and troublemakers and convince them to enter a program where the kids do janitorial services and such and they earn a few dollars a week. This program is supposed to be for AT RISK students but it only discourages them and sets them up for a low income and low quailty future. And convieniently the standarized test scores for these students do not contribute to the average. This is a poorly operated school that doesn't deserve to be posted on this site.

This is a very good academic and sport school. The teachers are intelligent and take interest in the children.

As a student who went to all the schools in the district, I have to say that there is nothing that I can complain about. Many of the teachers are outstanding and the programs that are available are amazing. The music program is one of the best in the area and they compete during marching band and also during regular band during the winter and spring. There are many art classes available and sports are available too. Our Football isn't the greatest around, but the games and students are really fun to be around. THere is Cross country, tennis, golf, lacrosse was there, basketball, volleyball... there are a lot of options. There are many clubs as well. Key club, spanish club, german club, latin club, and environmental clubs as well. There are a great number of parents who help out. WIthout the parent involvement the school would not be the same.

Nrhs is an excellent school. We lived in the city of cleveland for 15 yrs and moved here in 2003. My daughter attended the middle school last yr and the high school this year. She comes from a very middle class background and has had no trouble fitting in there. The staff and students are very friendly and the academics are fair but tough. Couldnt ask for more.

North Royalton to me as a parent is a Fake World. It seems that kids have learned nothing. Yes there is teaching going on but I truly do not see how they teach our kids with respect, when they ask for respect back. The school system has shown me that it's all about looks. You don't talk about the struggles, or the kids who have come from struggling backrounds and have achieved great goals. I also feel that you do not take the time to understand these kids and help them. I really think poorly of North Royalton's school system and I wish that you would not try to look like your the best and act like it when it's really not. But I wish people could see that and know that this is an amazing school instead of a big act having to be put on. Good luck to those kids.

North Royalton High School is one to be proud of it. The teaching staff will accept nothing but the best from our students and continually motivates them to succeed. Their quest for excellence is unmatched. While keeping academics the fortress, NRHS offers many extracurricular activities. The sports programs are well attended and the coaches provided indiviual attention to each athlete. The music programs at the high school are recognized across the state of Ohio as supreme. With a 90% higher education rate, NRHS is the foundation to the future.
